Analysis of Queensland’s new coal royalty regime

The Queensland Government estimated that the new coal royalties would raise an additional $800 million in revenue over the 2022-23 period and then an additional $100 million each year over the subsequent three years to 2025-26. However, these forecasts are based on extremely conservative coal price forecasts.
