During Q2 2020, average black coal-fired generation was 11,189 MW, down by 1,148 MW, reaching its lowest Q2 level since 2014. The decrease was due to comparatively low operational demand and displacement by lower-priced generation (brown coal, solar, and wind). Source: AEMO
