The EIA (U.S. Energy Information Administration) is expecting 22% more US coal-fired power generation in 2021 than in 2020 – first year on year increase since 2014.
DBX is also expecting US coal thermal exports in 2021 to be 60% higher than in 2021.
This means that US thermal coal mining will rise significantly from last year.
