Petcoke Prices Update – April 23

The plunge in international petcoke prices along with a recent downtick in thermal coal has prompted domestic petcoke manufacturers to adjust their prices downwards. In April 2024, Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) adjusted its petcoke loading price from INR 13,237 pmt to INR 13,029 pmt, which is down by INR 208 from March 2024. However, this figure reflects a significant decrease of INR 3,482 compared to April 2023 when it was at INR 16,511. This adjustment represents a Nine-months low for RIL. RIL’s current price is 20% lower year-on-year (YoY) and shows a marginal decrease of 2% month-on-month (MoM).
