Sustainable steel and aluminium

In October 2021 the United States and European Union launched negotiations to establish a Global Arrangement on Sustainable Steel and Aluminium (GSA). The negotiations aimed to restore trusted relations and historical trade flows in steel and aluminium, address challenges related to global overcapacity, and accelerate decarbonisation of the steel and aluminium sectors within two years.
