Weekly coal price review: thermal coal prices increase

The thermal coal market showed a similar trend during the third week of August. The prices of South African, Russian, Australian and USA coal rises back on good market fundamentals, whereas slower Asian demand continued to decline the Indonesian coal prices. European thermal coal future prices traded at stable levels, however, the spot prices jump to the $120 level amid recent chaos over the natural gas supply crunch.
