Daily average crude steel production of 97 key steel mills registered as members of the China iron and Steel Association (CISA) dipped in mid-May, but still at an extremely high level, the CISA data showed.
In May 11-20, these CISA members’ crude steel production averaged 2.04 million tonnes per day, down 0.38% from ten days ago.
Inventories of finished steel among CISA’s steel-mill members totalled 12.68 million tonnes by May 20, up 1.81% from May 1-10.
