India’s coal production rose 13.4% year-on-year to 53.6 million tonnes(MT) in July

India’s overall July coal production registered a 14.11% surge, reaching 68.75Million Tonne(MT), compared to 60.25MT in the corresponding period in last year, according to the Ministry of Coal. The production of Coal India Limited (CIL) increased to 53.63MT in the month of July 2023 as compared to 47.29MT in July 2022 with a growth of 13.41%, the ministry said. Additionally, Coal dispatch was 74.33MT, as compared to the 67.46MT recorded on July22, with a growth rate of 10.19% ,the ministry said.
