India’s coal production update – April 2023

India’s domestic coal production continues to hit records, again touching a historical high in April month of any year. Total coal production in Apr-23 comes at 73.14 million metric tons (MMT), with a 10% year-on-year (YoY) rise. The production is however 32% down on a month-on-month (MoM) basis.
