International coal prices ease due to slip in demand from key importers

The FOB thermal coal market returned to the red zone due to the easing of supply constraints and demand from the major importers failed to support the prices. The European coal-delivered spot price has reached a six-week low due to the alleviation of supply constraints. Currently, the spot price for the API2 contract is trading within the range of $ 113-114, however, the future contract is discounted by $ 7-8 to the spot price.
