Anna Tsivilevа, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC “Kolmar Group”, told on Friday session of Eastern Economic forum that company’s current production capacity is about 12 mio t and there is a plan to double it by 2023. She also noted that new production facilities were brought into operation in 2020-2021. Among them there are three new washing plants, three underground mines and one coal terminal in Khabarovsk region.
Kolmar is a key resident of the Advanced development region “South Yakutia”. Company owns two mining and coal preparation complexes Inaglinskiy and Denisovskiy in Neryungri region of Yakutia. Recoverable reserves of the company exceed 1 billion t.
Two more producers have plans to increase coal production in the Russian Far East in perspective by 2023: Elgacoal plans to grow up from 7 to 45 mio t (+38 mio t), Ogodzha – up from 1 to 10 mio t (+9 mio t). Therefore, if companies succeeded to fulfill these plans, run-of-mine coal production in Russian Far East will increase almost by 60 mio t by 2023.
