In January-September 2023, total Russian coal supplies, including exports and deliveries to the domestic market, increased to 297.5 mio t (+13.9 mio t or +4.9% y-o-y).
In 9 months of 2023, 132.5 mio t were sent to the domestic market (+3.0 mio t or +2.3% y-o-y), of which:
· 68.1 mio t (+5.7 mio t or +9.1%) was directed to power plants;
· 30.0 mio t (+3.6 mio t or +13.6%) supplied to coking plants;
· 34.4 mio t (-6.3 mio t or -15.4%) shipped to other consumers.
Russian coal exports in Jan-Sep 2023 climbed to 164.9 mio t (+10.9 mio t or +7.1% y-o-y).
In Jan-Sep 2023, Russian coal production rose to 322.2 mio t (+2.4 mio t or +0.7% y-o-y).
