Russian coal supplies up 1.3% in Jan-Nov 2023

In January-November 2023, total Russian coal supplies, including exports and deliveries to the domestic market, increased to 360.2 mio t (+4.6 mio t or +1.3% y-o-y).

In 11 months of 2023, 164.3 mio t were sent to the domestic market (+0.9 mio t or +0.5% y-o-y), of which:

·        82.5 mio t (+3.7 mio t or +4.6%) was directed to power plants;
·        36.5 mio t (+3.2 mio t or +9.7%) supplied to coking plants;
·        45.3 mio t (-6.0 mio t or -11.7%) shipped to other consumers.

Russian coal exports in Jan-Nov 2023 climbed to 195.9 mio t (+3.7 mio t or +1.9% y-o-y).

In Jan-Nov 2023, Russian coal production decreased to 398.9 mio t (-2.3 mio t or -0.6% y-o-y).
