An Economic Assessment of the Supreme Court’s Stay of the Clean Power Plan

It is argued that the CPP will raise the cost of generating electricity and cause harm to the coal industry through further closures of coal mines, bankruptcies of coal producers, and retirements of coal-fired electricity generators.
