Net zero: Australia’s continued need for fossil fuels.

This new report suggests that completely abandoning fossil fuels to reduce carbon emissions might not be the most prudent approach. According to the report Australia needs to plan and build a large fleet of gas-fired peaking generation to help accelerate renewable growth, and close coal power on time.
